Mission

WE-PROPOSE aims to:

Examine Italian and European policies on return migration, focusing on actions to support women returnees, gaining first-hand knowledge about women's personal experiences during the migration journey, access to legal measures and interaction with international organisations, exploring individual perceptions of return success or failure and the motivations behind the decision to return.

To this end, Recommendations will be produced to support policies dealing with Assisted Voluntary Return and migration processes more generally.

Supporting the entrepreneurial skills of women returnees in Tunisia and Morocco.

The project will allow the implementation of a training programme for inclusive incubation and the creation of a business incubation toolkit, a guide for incubation paths from non-Eurocentric perspectives on entrepreneurship.

Mapping associations and networks providing assistance to migrant women in Italy, Tunisia and Morocco, analysing their role in the different stages of the return process.

This will make it possible to formulate useful recommendations to Third Sector organisations and strengthen their level of recognition as active players in women's integration and reintegration processes.

Disseminating and offering research results accessible to the public, through meetings, conferences and artistic devices to bring out what it means for a woman to return to her country of origin and what factors come into play in the migratory process of return.
